Productive Process
The raw materials are first melted together in an electric furnace. This step usually requires 8 to 12 hours of high temperature. After melting, the cast semi-finished steel. These include blooms (rectangles), billets, slabs, bars and round tubes.
Next, from the start of hot rolling, semi-finished steel forming operation, in this process, the steel is heated by huge rolls. Various grades of steel are available, with a size of 0.63 cm round, square, octagonal or hexagonal.
Forming a stainless steel, most types must annealing step. Annealing is a heat treatment in which steel is heated and cooled under controlled conditions to reduce the internal stresses and soften the metal.
Annealing can cause scale or buildup on the steel. Several processes can be used to remove scale. Pickling is the most common method, which uses a hydrofluoric acid nitric acid bath descaling steel. In another method, the cleaning power, a cathode, and current is applied to the surface of phosphoric acid, and then remove the scale.
