China's Exports To The Middle East And Pakistan Rose
From January to March, except for the angle profiles, the export volume of other varieties of steel products decreased significantly year-on-year. Among them, the export of rod and wire fell more than 30% year-on-year. From the perspective of the average export price, except for the slight increase of the plate year-on-year, other varieties have declined. Among them, the average export price of angle profiles and pipes fell by more than 10% year-on-year. The proportion of plates in total exports has further increased. From January to March, China's exports of sheet metal accounted for 61.8% of total steel exports, an increase of 1.9 percentage points from 2019.
ASEAN, the Middle East and South Korea are still our main export destinations. From January to March, China exported 8.591 million tons of steel to the above three countries and regions, accounting for 60.1% of total steel exports. From January to March, China's steel exports to major exporting countries and regions fell sharply year-on-year, but exports to the Middle East and Pakistan increased year-on-year. From January to March, China exported 1.945 million tons of steel to the Middle East, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year; and exported 247,000 tons of steel to Pakistan, an increase of 19.7% year-on-year. The main types of export growth are hot rolled coils.
