Tin Coated Steel Sheet (commonly known as tinplate) is a steel plate coated with a thin layer of tin metal.
Tin Coated Steel Sheet is a low carbon steel rolled into a steel plate of about 2 mm thick, which is pickled,
cold rolled, electrolytically cleaned, annealed, flattened, trimmed, and then cleaned, plated, reflowed,
passivated, and oiled. It is cut into finished tinplate sheets, and the tin plating used for tinplate is high
purity tin (Sn>99.8%). The tin layer can also be coated by hot dip coating. The tin layer of the tin plate
obtained by this method is thick, and the amount of tin is large, and it is not required to be purified after
tin plating.
