Three Common Polishing Methods for Stainless Steel Plates

Aug 05, 2021

1. Chemical polishing

Chemical polishing is mainly used on some small batches of complex parts and products that do not require high brightness. The main advantage of chemical polishing is that it can effectively polish complex parts and has high efficiency. After chemical polishing treatment The parts have better anti-corrosion performance, and the use of chemical polishing for processing equipment is relatively small. The disadvantage is that the brightness of the processed parts is not high, and there is gas production in the process, ventilation equipment is required, and certain difficulties will occur during the heating process.

2. Electrochemical polishing

Electrochemical polishing is mainly used in some high-end products and import and export products. The advantages are stable processing technology and simple operation, and electrochemical polishing can keep the mirror surface of the processed parts shiny for a long time. The disadvantage is that the investment in processing equipment is relatively large, and cooling facilities are needed to assist in a large number of operations.

3. Mechanical polishing

Mechanical polishing is currently mainly used for simple parts and products with small volumes. The advantage is that the flatness after processing is better, and the polishing effect is good, and the brightness is high. The parts with high technological requirements are polished.
