We know that color-coated plate PPGI/PPGL is the combination of steel plate and paint, so is the thickness of PPGI based on the thickness of the steel plate or the thickness of the finished product?

First of all, let's understand the structure of color-coated plate for construction:

There are two ways to express the thickness of color color-coated plate
First, the finished thickness of the coated plate

For example, finished thickness of 0.5mm color-coated plate, the paint film thickness of 25/10 microns

Then we can think that the thickness of the color-coated substrate (cold rolled sheet + galvanized layer thickness, chemical conversion layer thickness can be ignored) is 0.465mm.

Common 0.4mm, 0.5mm, and 0.6mm color coated sheet, that is, the total thickness of the finished product, which is more convenient for us to measure directly.

Second, the customer specified requirements of color-coated substrate thickness

For example: the substrate thickness of 0.5mm color-coated plate, paint film thickness of 25/10 microns

Then the thickness of the finished product is 0.535mm, if you need to cover the PVC film to protect the board, we need to add the thickness of the film, from 30 to 70 microns.

The above case difference of 0.035mm, with reference to the diameter of the hairline in 0.06-0.09mm, we see that it is actually a very small difference, but also in the use of the customer's needs should be very careful.

Difference in use

01. For your own use, the requirements are not strict, both can be.

02.For the number of meters or a square number of requirements, the first way of finishing a thickness color-coated sheet is a better choice.

03. For the higher requirements of the project, 0.035mm is a big difference, so, when ordering, please try to detail the table clearly needs.

Note: No special indication of requirements, the product will be defaulted to the finished thickness production.
