At present, the smelting process for producing stainless steel sheet in the world is mainly divided into one-step method, two-step method and three-step method, and new integrated production methods. The one-step smelting process is: hot metal + AOD (argon-oxygen refining furnace); the two-step process is: EAF (electric arc furnace) + AOD (argon-oxygen refining furnace). The three-step method is: EAF (arc furnace) + AOD (argon-oxygen refining furnace) + VOD (vacuum refining furnace). In addition to several traditional production processes, the current integrated production process, that is, the production process from molten iron directly to stainless steel, has also been adopted by many enterprises. The production process is: RKEF (rotary kiln electric furnace) + AOD (argon oxygen refining furnace).
The stainless steel sheet hot rolling process uses slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs) as raw materials, and after heating, strips are made from rough rolling units and finishing rolling units. The hot steel strip from the last rolling mill of the finish rolling is cooled by laminar flow to a set temperature, and is rolled into a steel coil by a coiler. The cooled steel coil has oxide scale on the outside and appears black. After annealing and pickling to remove the oxidized surface, it is called "stainless steel white sheet"
The hardness test of a stainless steel sheet is to slowly press a hard indenter into the sample surface according to the prescribed conditions, and then test the depth or size of the indentation to determine the hardness of the material. The hardness test is non-destructive, and there is an approximate conversion relationship between the material hardness value and the tensile strength value.
There are two methods for professionally detecting the composition of stainless steel sheet material, metal material and alloy material. One is detection with direct reading spectrometer, which can detect all-element analysis and can detect C element, and the other is X fluorescence spectrometer. This method has fast detection speed, is convenient to carry, and can accurately detect components and brands.
