Dry and Ventilated Environment: Store the sheets in a dry area, away from water and moisture. Exposure to moisture can lead to rust, corrosion, or degradation of protective coatings. Ensure the storage area is well-ventilated to prevent condensation, which can also cause corrosion.

Elevated Storage​​​​​​: Keep the sheeting elevated using wooden pallets or other suitable materials to avoid direct contact with the ground. This prevents moisture absorption from the floor. Store the sheets on a flat surface to prevent bending, warping, or deformation over time.

Cover with Protective Materials​​​​​​: Use a waterproof tarp or plastic sheeting to cover the IBR sheets. Ensure the cover is slightly raised to allow air circulation but still protects the sheets from rain or dust. Ensure the covering material doesn't directly touch the metal, as it may trap moisture underneath.

Horizontal Stacking with Supports​​​​​​: Stack the sheets horizontally, with even support underneath. This prevents stress or pressure points that could bend or damage the sheets. When stacking multiple sheets, ensure that the weight is evenly distributed, with heavier sheets at the bottom. Use spacers or separators to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact.

Temperature Control​​​​​​: Store the IBR sheeting in an area with stable temperatures, avoiding extreme heat or cold, which could affect the integrity of the coatings or cause condensation.

Handling Precautions: When moving or handling the sheets, use protective gloves to prevent scratches, and avoid dragging the sheets on rough surfaces to maintain the protective coatings. Don't stack the sheets too high, as excessive weight may cause damage or make it difficult to safely remove sheets from the pile.

Short-Term vs. Long-Term Storage: If storing for a short period, it may suffice to leave the sheeting on site in its original packaging with adequate protection from weather conditions. For extended storage, more protective measures like specialized storage racks, additional coverings, or even controlled environments may be needed.
